Event details:

According to recent estimates, new hires require anywhere between 18-24 months on a new job before their true abilities and skills begin to emerge. Why is there such a marked delay between hiring and expected performance? During this session, we will explore the process of transfer (moving skills between different contexts) and consider what is required to effectively bring your abilities to bear in any new job situation.

Participants will learn:

  • What are the three pillars of transfer?
  • What techniques are best suited to help us quickly move past each of these pillars?
  • What is the only truly future-proof skill – relevant to any job you may obtain?
