Hosted by YEA WA, this event will give student and graduate engineers the opportunity to meet with industry professionals from a range of backgrounds and experience levels. This diverse group of mentors includes senior engineers, project managers, business development managers, entrepreneurs and senior Engineers Australia staff members. They will be sharing their knowledge and experience on how they shaped their careers and came to be in the positions they are in today.
There will also be a keynote presentation by Jodey Brockhurst, a Kamilaroi woman, who joined the offshore energy industry as a graduate Mechatronics engineer and is currently a Strategy Advisor in the Australian business unit of a multinational organisation. Her career has taken her across multiple countries and worksites, including fabrication yards in Malaysia and test sites in Norway. Jodey volunteers with local government on Reconciliation Action and as a tutor with the Adult Migrant Education Program and has recently been elected as a new member of the Engineers Australia WA Division Committee.
