Dressed to impress, you’ll be greeted and asked to strike a pose for the professional photographer who’ll be there all night to capture the fun and festivities.
The Grove Rooftop is a breathtakingly unique venue overlooking the city. You can network and celebrate with industry peers in style - over drinks, on the dance floor, at the photo booth or over a game of giant Jenga.
The theme for the night is Advancing Connectivity, representing YEAQ’s goal of connecting emerging leaders within the engineering industry. Speakers Cheryl Desha and Zoe Eather will share their vision for the future of our region and industry.

Queensland’s 2021 Professional Engineer of the Year
Cheryl Desha is Director for Industry Engagement in the School of Engineering and Built Environment at Griffith University, and Theme Leader of the Digital Earth and Resilient Infrastructure Research Group. Her school executive role builds on fifteen years of industry and academic practice and industry-led curriculum development, establishing the civil engineering program on Griffith University’s Brisbane campus. She led the academic engagement for Griffith’s recently completed AUD$70 million six-storey building.

Zoe Eather is an emerging leader with a passion for innovative and forward-thinking solutions for smart cities and transport planning. A civil and environmental engineer, she has established her own consultancy and engages with the wider engineering community through her podcast.
